Program Basics

Our teen internship program provides local youth with a well-rounded work experience in a supportive farm environment. Participants will learn the ins and outs of running a small farm, including greenhouse and propagation work, floral design, and marketing.

What will I learn

Participants will learn the ins and outs of running a small farm, including greenhouse and propagation work, floral design, and marketing.

Time Commitment

We plan to break the month of July into (3) one week sessions. Participants select which week they would like to work. Interns will work Monday, Wednesday, Friday and one Saturday farmers market.

Applications are open for Summer 2026. Please complete the teen internship application. There are 5 spots available per week and no cost for enrollment.

“I loved working on the farm. I first interned when I was 15 and I got to work on learning all about the planting process and upkeep. Learning how to work with the land and different plants was great, and at the end of the day we did lots of floral work for Farmers Market and CSA and big beautiful weddings. It was such an amazing outlet for creativity and physical activity- two things I think most kids thrive with I came back to the farm multiple years following and ended centering my high school senior project around the farm work and floral design! I couldn’t recommend it more, you’ll have fun and you’ll feel so rewarded at the end of the day. “

What are the hours each day of work?

Hours are 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Saturday, hours are from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

Is there cost for attendance?

There is no cost to apply and attend.

How many spots are available?

There are 5 spots available per week. 

Will transportation be included?

No, transportation is not included. However, we may be able to help with carpooling ideas.
