Blackberry Jam Potluck and Mixer - Free Event

Sunday July 26 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM
Come one, come all to pick blackberries and join in our community blackberry jam making gathering. Bring your clean jars and we will have a cauldron bubbling berries for those who wish to come pick and learn the ins and outs of making a nice batch of jam. Wild blackberries will be at their peak so even if you don't wish to make jam, you can come and enjoy stuffing your bellies full of these sweet treats while chatting with some new found friends. Bring your jars and a dish to share. Event is free but registration is required.

Come browse our selection of amazing plants we have been propagating this season. Fall is the best time to plant many of your favoirte perennials and cool season annuals. Event is free but registering is required.

Garlic, green beans and radishes preserved in a jar

Sealing the Sweetness of Summer, Canning and Preserving Tomato Sauce and Salsa

Sunday October 3 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM
We will gather all the ingredients to make a delicious batch of sauce and salsa and all participate in the process of creating some delicious goodness to put away for the winter finishing with a batch of canned and sealed salsa and sauce for you to take home.

Where will classes be held?

All classes will take place on the farm and will include a combination of lecture and hands-on learning.

Is there a minimum age for classes?

Classes are open to people of all ages, though unless noted, the content will be geared towards adults.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

You must give a two week notice for full refund. Partial refund will be considered upon request.

Where is the farm located?

All classes will meet at our farm site located 20 minutes outside Nevada City. Participants must pre-register for classes after which they will receive the class details and directions to the farm. Parking is limited so please carpool whenever possible.

What do I bring to class?

Please be prepared to be outside. Arrive to class with water bottles, shade hat, lightweight layers for sun protection. Bring a journal and notebook.
